There are many special attractions in and around Knoxville:

The Dogwoods Arts Festival is an annual festival  that commemorates Knoxville's beautiful blooming dogwood trees and springtime gardens.

The Knoxville Zoological Park has over 1,000 animals from around the world. Daily, animals roam in authentic environments that look and feel like their natural habitat.

The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame is dedicated to athletic achievement in womens basketball as well as honors the past, celebrates the present and promotes the future of basketball.

The Great Outdoors:

The seven lakes, and many rivers, surrounding the valley of East Tennessee include Fort Loudon Lake, Tellico Lake, Watts Bar Lake, Melton Hill Lake, Norris Lake, Cherokee Lake and Douglas Lake. East Tennessee is a perfect setting for water sports of all types.

Volunteer Landing features a marina, home of the Vol Navy, and the Star of Knoxville Riverboat, which offers sightseeing, entertainment, dining and much more.

The Obed Wild and Scenic River lies forty-three miles west of Knoxville. This National Park consists stretches along 45 miles of rivers and streams.
